Great River Health Systems chose Carl A. Nelson & Company as the general contractor for four state-of-the-art facilities located at their Health West Campus in West Burlington, Iowa: Burlington Area Family Practice Center, Cancer Care Center, the Center for Rehabilitation and Primary Care, and the Southeastern Dialysis Center. |
| The original construction of the Burlington Area Family Practice Center consisted of 16,000 SF and was expanded by an additional 10,000 SF. The facility houses ten family practice physicians and staff. |  |
| The second building on the campus is two facilities joined by a common entrance. The Cancer Care Center is 16,000 SF and provides Southeast Iowa with a regional, outpatient, cancer treatment center. The second portion of the building houses the Center for Rehabilitation and Primary Care. This 47,000 SF facility includes a therapy pool, walking track, and exercise equipment for physical rehabilitation. In addition, the basement houses a conference center equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment for continuing education. The 5,000 SF Southeastern Dialysis Center was the fourth building addition to the campus. | |
