A. Nelson & Company and ShopKo Stores, Inc. have partnered on several facility
renovations over the past two years. When ShopKo expanded into Iowa and Illinois
with the purchase of the Jacks Discount Store chain (a 30-year customer), they looked to
Carl A. Nelson & Company to provide advice on renovating the stores. As a
result, Carl A. Nelson & Company renovated the facilities in Burlington, Fort Madison,
and Keokuk, Iowa and also in Monmouth, Illinois. The aggressive, four-month schedule
required extensive interior renovation including the addition of a pharmacy and optical
center at location. This relationship continues with ShopKo's expansion into the old Venture store in Moline, Illinois, the renovation of the original Target facility in Coralville, Iowa, a new Pamida store in Memphis, Tennessee, and Pamida remodels in Nebraska. |
